Earlier this week I attended a meeting with Chris and Adie Batt from chrisbatt CONSULTING. They have been doing work on behalf of the Strategic Content Alliance to develop an online resource for information and authoritative guidance on all aspects of digitisation. Under the Digipedia banner, the resource also aims to encourage knowledge exchange, convergence and co-ordinated working. Digipedia will comprise both a knowledge base developed under editorial control, and a social space which will be open for user contributions, comments, questions and suggestions.
Chris would welcome views and comments on the current version of Digipedia to help inform its ongoing development. For my own part I can say that, wearing my other hat as a teacher on the Library and Information Management post-graduate course at Ulster, I found the content on an earlier version of Digipedia very helpful when I was preparing for a recent class covering digitisation and the issues it raises.
