Welcome to the LISC Inspire website
Welcome to LISC INSPIRE, part of a national programme to open up all library collections to learners of all ages, from 16 to 106. The LISC INSPIRE initiative has member libraries throughout Northern Ireland as well as some libraries based in the border counties. Access to their collections is by means of the INSPIRE Passport.
If you are seeking information, need support for a course or if you are doing research you can get an INSPIRE Passport from your local library.
By discussing your information, knowledge, learning or research needs with your own local librarian they can advise you if those needs can be met by an INSPIRE Passport.
With your INSPIRE Passport card, you may use any of the libraries registered in the LISC INSPIRE scheme. You may use - free - for reference purposes that library's main collections, special collections and reference collections. Some libraries may offer additional services.
Access to services is determined by the individual library - find out more from our Information Leaflet and Guidelines for Passport Holders and download a Passport Application Form.
Many of the libraries in the LISC INSPIRE scheme have strong collections in specialist areas. Information about this is summarized on our Member Libraries page. For a more detailed description of a wide range of Research and Special Collections Available Locally (RASCAL) visit the RASCAL website at www.rascal.ac.uk.
